Rugged Metal Buildings for Whatever You Need

Looking for a small storage building? Or how about a full-sized workshop, warehouse, retail storefront, office space, or manufacturing facility? Whatever popular building size or style you may need, we can take care of you at NC Carports. Reach out to us today, and let’s start the conversation!

Why NC Carports Is Your Go-To Choice for Metal Buildings?

Our name is NC Carports, but metal carports aren’t all we have to offer. We’re really your go-to choice for steel structures of all shapes and sizes, including metal garages, barns, and other popular metal building designs and applications. Looking for a facility with plenty of usable clear-span interior space? We can help you to custom-design the perfect metal building for you! Plus, we offer plenty of great customization options to help you get exactly what you want you need.

All the details are up to you; you decide the building’s dimensions, roof style, paneling & trim colors, door & window options, and more! You also have options when it comes to the steel gauge of your framing and paneling. Interested in creating a stylish two-tone look for your metal building? No problem! In addition, your building can be certified to meet any needed engineering specs for minimum wind and snow loads. And as long as you ensure that your site is level, our installation crews can put your metal building up on nearly any kind of site foundation – concrete, asphalt, gravel, even level ground! We can make it happen for you!

Roof Style Options for Your Metal Buildings NC
We’ve got three great roof options from which to choose, including:

Regular Roof

Regular roofs offer a traditionally popular rounded shape, and come standard with horizontally oriented paneling. Regular roofs are the most economical option, and they deliver dependable protection from sun, rain, and weathering from the elements.

Vertical Roof

The vertical roof offers the strongest design and the highest level of performance available for a metal building. They’re built on an A-frame base with added reinforcements, and they feature sleek vertical paneling which is great for shedding both precipitation and debris. They’re also best for heavier wind/snow loads.

A-Frame Roof

Many are drawn to the A-frame (also called boxed eave) roof style, largely because they are more similar in look and design to that of a typical house roof. A-frames are a sturdier option than the regular roof, and they also come standard with horizontal paneling.

Benefits of Metal Metal Buildings NC

You could try settling for some other type of building material, but you simply won’t get the same level of performance, longevity, or convenience of maintenance. A steel structure from NC Carports is a superior choice for many reasons:

  • Dependable Weather Protection – Steel buildings offer better protection from sun, wind, & precipitation, and are also better designed for withstanding lightning & earthquakes.
  • Multipurpose Facility – Steel buildings lend themselves to multipurpose usage and application better than wooden buildings, and they’re also easier to expand & adapt.
  • Strong and Durable – Steel buildings simply won’t rot like wood. Plus, they stand the tests of time and use much better than wood or other materials.
  • More Resistant to Pests & Fire – Termites, pests & mold threaten wood, but not steel; steel is also inflammable, so there’s less fire threat, too.
  • Simple to Maintain – Steel doesn’t rot, warp, or crack, and a steel building is much simpler to clean & maintain than wood or other materials.

If you’d rather install your metal building yourself you certainly can! Each of our steel building kits is individually designed and engineered to meet your exact specifications, and the kit comes with all needed building materials. We’ll connect with you about picking up your kit, and if you go the metal building kit route you’ll receive an additional discount, too!

Yes, you’ll need to ensure that your site is level before we can install. You’ll also be responsible for any needed groundwork or desired foundation paving you want to have in place. And if building permits are required in your area, you’ll need to obtain those beforehand. If you have any other questions, just reach out to us!

A metal building that’s certified means it’s been professionally engineered to meet or exceed minimum standards for certain wind and snow loads. Many areas do require metal building certification, while others don’t. Either way, we like to recommend certification to all of our customers, thanks to the extra peace of mind it offers for building owners.

Steel gauge simply refers to the thickness of the steel used for building components. 14-gauge is a common standard for many framing applications, but many customers prefer the heavier, more solid durability of 12-gauge framing. You can also choose between a standard 29-gauge steel or a thicker 26-gauge steel to go with for your building’s roofing and paneling.

At NC Carports, we’re all about providing you with the best-quality steel buildings and structures at the best possible prices. What will your made-to-order metal building cost? That will ultimately depend upon a few key factors, including the dimensions of your building, your chosen roof style, any added customizations, and where you’re installing. We’re happy to answer specific pricing questions!
